Kierstyn started her technical journey in Audio Design where she would mess around in Audacity, playing sounds off of a laptop. She has since honed her design and board op skills and has worked on various types of projects as the Designer, A1, A2, Playback Operator, and Sound Engineer. She has a range of experience operating for live events in Theatre, Chorus, Opera, Dance, Orchestra, Band, Concert, and Panels. Kierstyn has even dabbled in Sound Recordist projects for Film/TV.
Carrie: The Musical
Drafted Cue Sheet submitted to Stage Management for our production of Carrie: The Musical. Tracks were then loaded into QLab where refining and editing took place over the course of the rehearsals leading up to the competition.

A Monster Calls
Example pages from the early design script used for A Monster Calls which was then used to run audio during the OAP performance. Cues were marked in the script for Stage Management and live personal reference in the competition environment. Below are some of Kierstyn's designs made for the production, which was her first ever documented designer and board op role. Here she received the UIL OAP Outstanding Technician Award at her area.

Up Up & Away
Cue sheet for an Airline themed variety dance performance Kierstyn got to work during her time with the South LISD PAC Internship. Kierstyn designed audio, recorded voice-overs, and mixed music for the show. She was also the board operator, mixing mics and adjusting audio live for the event. At the same time, she was an interim calling stage manager, cueing lights and spots off her timestamps.
Sound Recordist: Kramer vs. Kramer
One of Kierstyn's first time's as a film sound recordist and editor. She recorded, mixed, and edited audio for a "Scene Stealer" project where her team produced a scene from Kramer vs. Kramer at Texas State University under the guidance of their Film department.
Suite Surrender
Drafted Cue Sheet submitted to Stage Management for the UIL OAP performance of Suite Surrender. Tracks were loaded into QLab where any final editing took place over the course of the rehearsals leading up to the competition.

Kierstyn designed and mixed audio for a film project at Texas State University. This assignment was titled "A Story in Pictures" where students were restricted in telling a story with a max limit of 10 photographs and their audio design.
